Was anyone else excited when they heard Huda was venturing into skincare? Well I’m pretty excited because she talks about different skin concerns a lot and I genuinly value her opinion and reviews. I was sent over the new Wishful skin Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub from the Huda press team. Let me tell you a bit about the product and the ingredients  before I explain how it helped my skin…

The Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub is a hybrid product that combines AHA’s, BHA’s and enzymes to gently exfoliate, even texture and smooth the skin. I’ll explain AHA’s and BHA’s in the most simplest form:

AHA’S – are water soluble. So for example; glycolic acid and lactic acid among others. They work by removing dead skin on the surface to reveal brighter, radiant and softer skin. It also helps to reduce signs of sun damage and hyper-pigmentation as well as being great for dull skin. They work well for reducing acne scars as it exfoliates the damaged skin.

BHA’s – are oil soluble. For example; salicylic acid. It’s great for people with oily skin and acne prone skin as it penetrates deeper into the skin. It cuts through clogged pores to loosen dirt such as blackheads, whiteheads and accumulated oil.

My review: I started using the Yo Glow Enzyme scrub around 3 weeks ago and I now use it 2-3 times a week. The scrub picks up debris from the skin to reveal brighter and more radiant skin with a glow. You use it on dry skin to buff away dead skin and impurities. My skin feels softer, smoother and I genuinely see a reduction in old acne scars! Although it states you should use it 1-2 times a week I use it more often and my skin has only got better.

The Yo Glow Enzyme scrub is infused with pineapple enzyme, papaya enzyme, AHA & BHA and Cellulose.
