This was my second visit to Bali and not my last. This visit is what made me realise how much of a difference your hotel makes to your stay. I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Uluwatu, Bali. Most of my traveling is due to work as I specialize in destination weddings so Bride’s usually book me to get them ready for the big day wherever it is they choose to get married. Last month it was Bali and it was stunning!
Rooms – During this visit I literally just chilled in the hotel once I finished with my bookings (I’ve done all the tourist things in Bali already on my first visit) and this is where the hotel makes all the difference. I stayed in the executive suite at the Renaissance and it was beautiful. I’ve stayed in countless hotel suites due to my job and when it comes to layout, this has to be one of the best suites so far. I loved how nothing was really disconnected in the suite….everything just flowed.
Food – The staff are so friendly and food was delicious! I would highly recommend Double Ikat which is authentic Indonesian cuisine and the best I’ve ever tried! My favorite dish had to be the fresh Tilapia and Lamb curry. The breakfast had a good variety and everything was fresh. I loved how they had a Clay Craft area next to the breakfast area – you can learn pottery and watch it live.
Chill area – R bar is a lobby bar overlooking the breathtaking view of the ocean. I literally sat on one of the beds all day just ordering cocktails and snacking whilst getting the most sun kissed tan! This was my ultimate chill place and where I felt at peace.
