When you think of the Burj Al Arab, one word comes to mind and that’s pure luxury. Its one of the reasons we keep going back. We love going for Afternoon Tea because with the number of places we’ve tried in Dubai it still is the best of the best. We recently visited the restaurant ‘Scape’ perched on the terrace at the Burj Al Arab offering a Californian fusion cuisine. I loved the warm chic atmosphere as you enter, it certainly has its own distinct style compared to the interior of the Burj Al Arab, however the magnificent view of the Burj Al Arab right next to you doesn’t let you forget you are still enveloped in opulence.

We were served by Ivan who knew the menu like the back of his hand and although most servers do, you could sense the love and passion he had for the food. What more could you ask for! Everything from the Chilli Edamame bowl, baja-style fish tacos to the mascarpone cheesecake was delicious. The kitchen has an open view so you can see the Chef and kitchen staff busy creating delectable dishes. I loved how happy and friendly everyone was and it definitely ticked all the boxes for us.

I’m certain this is the next hot spot for casual chic dining. You just can’t go wrong with this place and once the weather cools down the terrace is set to be the perfect hang out.
