So I recently visited Singapore for the first time and it was amazing! We stopped off there for a few days on the way to Borneo (third largest island in the world). A few days wasn’t enough so I can’t wait to head back there for longer. We stayed at the Four Seasons on Orchard Road which was perfectly situated. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to where all the malls and restaurants are. I’ve put together a short guide for Singapore so if you head over there, these are the places I would highly recommend!
Hotel – I would always recommend the Four Seasons Singapore. The rooms have an Art Deco feel with just the right amount of warmth. If you can upgrade to a suite I would highly recommend it…it has a home away from home feel. As Four Seasons standards go it ticks all the boxes (as expected) when it comes to quality, cleanliness, service (impeccable!) and food. I have a vlog going up soon so you will be able to see just how stunning the hotel is.
Food – There are plenty of Michelin star restaurants there and they are great but after eating at the Hawker centre we just kept going back as the food is amazing! A Hawker centre is basically an open-air complex housing numerous food stalls. You will find all local food (in my opinion it’s much more delicious than the fine dining restaurants) being made by local people and some are teppenyaki style. We went to the Hawker centre in VIVO CITY. Vivo city is the largest retail and lifestyle destination in Singapore – you can easily spend an entire day there.
Activities – Head to Universal Studios for sure! It was such a fun day out and I’d go back again and again! It doesn’t matter how old you are because it will definitely bring out the kid in you or have you reminiscing! Definitely try out the Transformers ride and the Jurassic world area is amazing. Also visit gardens by the bay which is an indoor nature park. You will be blown away with what they have created and will see some of the most beautiful works of art including an incredible waterfall!
