I was lucky enough to meet the iconic Charlotte Tilbury recently on her launch in the Middle East! She was beautiful and so full of life! During the event they were really pushing the new Magic Away concealer and the team sent me the full collection which was so exciting!

I’ve had a play around with the shades and here are my thoughts…

Shade range – There are 16 shades in total. The colors transition smoothly from very light to very dark although I feel there could have been a few more shades they could have put in between shade 7 and 8…maybe an Olive tone.

Texture + Finish – The texture is creamy and not too heavy which is perfect for everyday wear. It glides on easily and gives good coverage. It’s easy to layer on if you prefer a full coverage finish. It has a semi-matte finish so I’d recommend layering it on whilst it’s still tacky. I would finish off with setting powder if you don’t want any lines appearing later in the day.

Packaging + ease of use – The concealer is a twist top with a sponge tip. This is great for ease of application for personal use however unfortunately I can’t use these on my clients as the sponge tip would mean I’m transferring bacteria between each use. I would have actually like to use these on clients so I’m bit disappointed that I can’t utilize these and try out different looks on different faces.

Overall thoughts – I love the finish for an everyday look, it disguises dark circles and blemishes yet still gives a natural finish without looking caked. I’ve started to use these as my contour as the sponge tip makes it so easy to apply.
