I have been so excited about this launch and it’s all because I love baking….my face that is! I think it’s about time that someone launched a product tailored to baking and who would be better than leading Dubai Beauty Guru; Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty.

Let me first give you a quick breakdown of what baking your face really means…

BAKING 101: This is when you press a loose setting powder onto your applied foundation and leave it to set a couple of minutes before dusting off the powder. The powder lightly melts/adheres onto your foundation which ‘sets’ your foundation for several hours leaving an airbrushed flawless look. This also helps to keep your foundation looking matte and clean for several hours.

Huda recently launched Easy Bake Loose Setting Powder in 8 different shades. I was lucky enough to receive the full range and have since tried them out on myself  (my shade is Banana Bread) and a few clients. Here’s what I thought…

Packaging – Very lightweight. Simple and clean design which is easy to open and close. There is a net sieve that allows just the right amount of powder to come through. You need to tap the bottom to allow a sufficient amount to come through the net with the lid closed.

Shades – 8 different shades that would suit any skin color. As a makeup artist I work on so many different skin tones I can honestly say there is a shade to suit any skin color.

Application – I use a beauty blender to press the powder onto my under eye area when baking and it adheres very well to my foundation with minimal need to keep packing on the powder for an even finish. I use a medium size fluffy round brush to dust it off after a minute.

Immediate results – Once I’ve dusted off the powder it leaves an airbrushed and flawless finish to my under eye area. It also brightens the under eye area.

Results after 5 hours of wear – My under eye area is still flawless and bright. It hasn’t dulled down in any way and I don’t have any creasing. I have started to use this more than my regular powder which was BenNye Banana Powder!
