I am loving what Sephora have done with their #Lipstories Lipsticks. Sephora have made it all about fun and real life and even used the tag line ‘a lipstick for real life, not just for ring lights’. It’s about time someone took lipsticks back to being fun and playful rather than the airbrushed versions we now see on Instagram.
The range is split into 3 categories; Matte, Metallic and Satin. I tried out the matte range and I LOVE them! Love Love and Brunch Date are my faves so far. I’m so happy with the variety of colors they have available too. I feel like this is what was missing from Sephora’s own brand….a decent wearable range of colors that are not so serious and Arty.
The texture of the matte range which is all I’ve tried at the moment is super matte and with awesome staying power although like most matte lipsticks I would recommend using a balm underneath to just keep your lips hydrated. The pigment is so good that you only need one swipe and I love how quirky the packaging is. It’s so random but that’s what makes it interesting and different.
